Catarina Bastos is an associate at TFRA, where she joined in 2014 as a trainee attorney.

Her main areas of practice are Immigration Law and Real Estate Law. In this context, she has led and monitored the entire processing of immigration and citizenship cases before the competent authorities, as well as provided advice on the purchase and sale of real estate and in due diligence processes. She also has extensive experience in urban lease agreements and local accommodation licensing. 

She holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2009–2013) and completed her academic training with a postgraduate degree in Business Law, specializing in Commercial Companies, at ISCTE–IUL. 

She consolidated her knowledge by participating in various courses on topics such as “Notarial and Registry Simplification,” taught by the Legal and Judicial Training Unit, and “Urban Subdivisions in Land Management: A Traditional Tool with Contemporary Relevance,” organized by Almedina, and has also undergone specific training in the area of the New Urban Lease Regime. 

She attended the Short Course on Immigration Law: Asylum, Immigration, and Nationality Litigation (2018), organized by Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and the course “Local Accommodation and Taxation,” taught by the Legal and Judicial Training Unit. 

She was a speaker at the “China Offshore Summit Shanghai” in Shanghai, addressing the topic “Residence Permit for Investment Activities – ARI – Golden Visa (2017),” and participated in the webinar on D2, D3, and D7 Residence Visas for Portugal, organized by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil (2021).

Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association since 2017.
